About

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.

We of Youth With A Mission believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s son; that people are created in God’s image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace towards us; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandment, “...Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

YWAM DTC (Discipleship Training Course) is an abridged version of YWAM’s Traditional DTS. With the needs of working professionals in mind, it seeks to bring the content of DTS teachings to those who do not have the freedom to step away from their responsibilities for months at a time. Through interactive lectures, deep worship, powerful prayer, and practical outreach, DTC aims to help students grow in their Christian character and their biblical relationships with others while cultivating a living relationship with God.

The DTC aims to help students know God in depth and make Him known throughout the world. It seeks to infuse students with a passion for Jesus and missions. Many students go back to their daily lives after this training with a deeper relationship with God, more clarity in their life purpose, and a greater understanding of missions as it relates to their family life, church and profession. Others go on to complete the full five to nine month DTS program through YWAM.

This training course begins with a 10-weekend classroom phase followed by 7-10 day practical Outreach. Please note that this course is not accredited by the University of Nations (U of N). Students will have to enroll in the full DTS in order to receive credit and be eligible to take further courses at the U of N or serve on staff.
